Abstract:
Provided is a rebar connecting device comprising a housing having a pair of housing bodies coupled thereto, and multiple coupling pieces positioned in the housing so as to bind a rebar. Each coupling piece comprises an outer surface having a first protruding area, a second protruding area, and a first concave area formed between the protruding areas, from one end toward the other end thereof, and an inner surface having a tooth-shaped protrusion such that a rebar introduced from one end thereof does not move opposite to the direction in which same is introduced. Each housing body has concave spaces on both sides from the longitudinal center thereof such that symmetric cavities are formed on both sides inside the housing with reference to the longitudinal center thereof. The housing has rebar inlets provided on both ends thereof. A pair of coupling pieces are positioned in each cavity of the housing such that inner surfaces of the coupling pieces face each other. One end of each coupling piece is positioned each rebar inlet of the housing, thereby binding the introduced rebar.
