Title:
RECEIVING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/097084
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A receiving apparatus for performing a synchronous detection of a modulated signal under an excellent trackability. An orthogonal signal generating means (1) generates, from a modulated signal (Sin(t)), an I signal (SI(t)) and a Q signal (SQ(t)) the phases of which are orthogonal to each other. A carrier generating means (2) determines the signs of the I signal (SI(t)) and Q signal (SQ(t)) and generates a trigonometric ratio. The phases corresponding to the trigonometric ratio and signs are applied to the predetermined signals having mutually orthogonal phases, thereby generating a reproduced carrier signal (SCI(t)) corresponding to the carrier component of the I signal (SI(t)) and also generating a reproduced carrier signal (SCQ(t)) corresponding to the carrier component of the Q signal (SQ(t)). A frequency shifting means (3) uses a predetermined angular frequency (ωs) to shift the reproduced carrier signals (SCI(t),SCQ(t)), thereby generating first and second signals (PI(t),PQ(t)). A combining means (4) combines the first and second signals (PI(t), PQ(t)) with the I signal (SI(t)) and Q signal (SQ(t)), thereby generating a reproduced modulated signal (SHI(t)), which is obtained by replacing the angular frequency of the carrier component of the I signal (SI(t)) by the predetermined angular frequency (ωs), and also generating a reproduced modulated signal (SHQ(t)), which is obtained by replacing the angular frequency of the carrier component of the Q signal (SQ(t)) by the predetermined angular frequency (ωs). A demodulating means (5) demodulates the reproduced modulated signals (SHI(t),SHQ(t)) to reproduce a demodulated signal (Sdet).
