Abstract:
A receiving circuit for an information device comprises: a linear equalizer which amplifies a high-frequency component of an input signal; a decision feedback equalizer to which an output waveform from the linear equalizer is inputted and which calculates a plurality of tap coefficients and filters an input waveform according to the calculated plurality of tap coefficients; a tap coefficient polarity determiner which determines whether or not, in a sequence comprising the plurality of tap coefficients, at least two consecutive tap coefficients starting with the coefficient at a prescribed point in the sequence have the same polarity; and an equalization amount control unit which controls the equalization amount of the linear equalizer on the basis of the result of the determination.
