Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a receptacle, a plug, and a connection device with which transmission capacity can be increased. A receptacle (1) is provided with: a receptacle housing (10); an electric connection terminal; an optical connection terminal (14); and a positioning structure (15). The receptacle housing (10) is capable of having a plug housing (20) of a plug (2) inserted therein. The electric connection terminal is retained on the receptacle housing (10) and is connected to an electric contact of the plug (2). The optical connection terminal (14) is for optical transmission. The optical connection terminal (14) is retained on the receptacle housing (10), and opposes the plug (2) in an insertion direction (I1) of the plug (2). The positioning structure (15) comprises a part of the receptacle housing (10), and determines the relative position of the receptacle housing (10) with respect to the plug (2) in a plane orthogonal to the insertion direction (I1).
