Abstract:
The present invention provides a device and method for causing the updating of a service worker (SW) that is a data management program in a reception device, and the management resource thereof, to be efficiently and reliably executed. The present invention receives a service worker information table (SWIT) and executes data management processing using the received SWIT. Stored in the SWIT is information relating to a service worker (SW) that is a data management program pertaining to the stored data of a reception device. The SWIT includes updating information in individual SW units. The SWIT is a table in which a SW identifier and update information relating to the SW and management resource specified by the SW identifier are recorded. The reception device references the SWIT and executes updating of the SW and management resource.
