Abstract:
A reciprocating compressor of the present disclosure comprises: a cylinder; a piston which is disposed within the cylinder and includes an upper wall forming a compression chamber and a side wall formed to extend from the upper wall; an elastic cover which is provided to interpose the upper wall of the piston between the piston and an elastic member; and a cam mechanism which, according to movements of the piston to a top dead position and a bottom dead position, deforms the elastic cover into a first state where the elastic cover is spaced apart from the upper wall to reduce the volume of the compression chamber, and returns the elastic cover to a second state where the elastic cover comes closer to the upper wall than in the first state.
