Abstract:
A reciprocating pump can be manufactured without causing variations among products in the manufacturing process and can supply stable flow rate. A reciprocating pump is provided with: a cylinder having a suction opening and a discharge opening; a reciprocating member having a front end which is contained within the cylinder in such a manner that the front end can reciprocate and rotate; a motor for rotationally driving the reciprocating member; a pump frame for affixing the motor and the cylinder in such a manner that the rotating shaft of the reciprocating member and the driving shaft of the motor form a predetermined angle; and a drive coupling for connecting the driving shaft of the motor and the base end of the reciprocating member. The drive coupling has an affixation section mounted to the driving shaft of the motor and also has a spherical bearing section connected to the base end of the reciprocating member. The spherical bearing section has a spherical inner ring which is joined to the base end of the reciprocating member and also has a spherical outer ring for holding the spherical inner ring. The affixation section and the spherical outer ring are integrally formed.
