Abstract:
The present invention provides recombinant Ralstonia eutropha capable of producing a polylactate or hydroxyalkanoate-lactate copolymer, and a method for producing a polylactate or hydroxyalkanoate-lactate copolymer using same. The recombinant Ralstonia eutropha of the present invention, into which the gene of the enzyme for transforming lactate into lactyl-CoA and the gene of the polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) synthase using lactyl-CoA as a substrate are introduced, can be cultured to efficiently produce a lactate polymer and a lactate copolymer.
