Abstract:
The present invention provides a recording device capable of holding imaging data for finding out the cause of an accident, and protecting the privacy of a driver that uses a vehicle. A recording device (10) according to the present embodiment is provided with: an imaging data acquisition unit (21) which acquires imaging data including video data and audio data; an event detection unit (22) which detects the occurrence of an event; and a recording control unit (23) which, when recording the image data in a recording unit (33) due to the event detected by the event detection unit (22), records first imaging data including the video data and the audio data in the recording unit (33), and when recording the imaging data in the recording unit (33) not due to the event, records second imaging data including the video data and not including the audio data in the recording unit (33).
