Abstract:
The present invention prints using nozzle intervals to form a test pattern having a long cycle in a first outward and return scan. A correction value candidate is selected therefrom, a short-cycle test pattern is recorded using values before and after the correction value candidate, and the density of the test pattern is read by a sensor. An approximate expression of the value read from the short-cycle test pattern is used, and a correction to the value of a minimum resolution unit that is closest to the vertex of approximated lines is determined. By using such a correction value, and performing conveyance, the present invention is capable of recording an image in which dot deviation has been suppressed. Provided is a recording device which, in an inkjet printer, is capable of performing high quality recording by controlling in a more accurate and detailed manner the conveyance of a recording medium actually being used.
