A recovery device (1) has a traveling body (10) and a bucket (27). The traveling body (10) travels between a first position where the body is immersed in a liquid contained in a container tank (2) and a second position where the body is projected from the surface (L) of the liquid. The bucket (27) is attached to the traveling body (10) and scoops out, on its way from the first position to the second position, floating objects (4) floating on the liquid surface. The bucket (27) has an opening portion (37) from which the liquid including the floating objects (4) flow in and further has a bucket body (31) tapering downward from the opening portion (37); partition plates (36a, 36b) extending downward so as to face to each other from opening edges of the opening portion (37) and damming the floating objects (4) flowing in from the opening portion (37); and discharge openings (38a, 38b) formed in the bucket body (31) and opened at lower positions than the opening edges of the opening portion (37).
