Abstract:
The present invention provides a rectangular battery cell in which an electrode assembly, which is structured so that a separation membrane is interposed between an anode and a cathode, is embedded in a rectangular cell case, and a cap plate is coupled to the upper end of the cell case which is open, wherein the rectangular cell case is structured so that two or more case members, which are divided along the long axis direction, or the short axis direction, or along the long axis and the short axis direction, with respect to a horizontal cross-sectional of a protruding terminal on the cap plate.
