Abstract:
A method for designing a reflect array, which reflects an incident wave in a desired direction and in which multiple elements are disposed on a substrate having a surface that is perpendicular to a predetermined axis, involves repeating the following steps for each of the multiple elements: a step for obtaining, as the function of a design parameter, the reflection phase of the elements when an electric wave enters into and then is reflected by the multiple elements arranged such that the element distance, the patch of the elements or the gap between adjacent elements have the same design parameter; a step for saving the correspondence relationship between the reflection phase and the design parameter to a memory; and a step for determining the design parameter of a specific element on the basis of the correspondence relationship. The function of the design parameter has a range of values that is essentially in a 360° range relative to the predetermined numerical range of the design parameter, is a function in which the reflection phase continuously changes relative to the element distance, and is a continuous function having two resonance points (the element distance that resonates) in which the reflection phase becomes zero (exhibits double resonance characteristics).
