Description:
"REFRIGERATION CASSETTE"

Technical Field

[001] The present invention relates to cassettes of modular refrigeration systems of the field of light commercial refrigeration, used in refrigerated displays.

Background of the Invention

[002] Currently, technologies in the field of light refrigeration, applied in refrigerated displays, use concepts of cassettes of refrigeration systems that can be installed both on the bottom and on the top of refrigerated displays. Typically, these cassettes are constructed with separately designed air ducts and evaporator fan body as individual components.

[003] For example, the document BR 102015 028999 5, entitled "REFRIGERATION SYSTEM FOR CABINETS AND FORCED AIR COOLING CABINET", published on May 23, 2017, describes a refrigeration system for cabinets arranged in a cabinet of forced air cooling. One of the objectives of this document is to provide a cooling system of reduced dimensions and weights applicable to the top of said cabinet.

[004] For example, the document WO 2010 051610, entitled "REFRIGERATED COMPARTMENT HAVING REDUCED DIMENSIONS", published on May 14, 2010, describes a compact refrigeration system having reduced dimensions for a refrigerated compartment, such as boxes used in hospital areas to store and transport vaccines, organs, blood or other products such as food and water.

[005] For example, the document EP 2860477, entitled "A COOLING UNIT FOR A CLIMATIZED CABINET", published on April 15, 2015, describes a refrigeration unit for a commercial cabinet, such as a freezer or climate control cabinet. Said refrigeration unit is compact, easy to install and is applied to the top of the commercial cabinet.

[006] For example, the document US 2010 0133290, entitled "REFRIGERATION DECK SYSTEM FOR VENDING MACHINE", published on June 03, 2010, describes a refrigeration system for a commercial food or beverage cabinet. This refrigeration system is compact and is applied to the bottom of the commercial cabinet.

[007] A problem in the prior art is the isolated and independent installation of the air ducts and the evaporator fan body, which generates problems in the assembly and maintenance of the refrigeration system, leading to an increase in the dimensions of these components and, consequently, to an increase in the dimensions of the refrigeration cassette.

[008] Another problem of the prior art is the fact that the evaporator fan body is fixed directly to the evaporator hood, which also leads to an increase in the dimensions of the refrigeration cassette.

Summary

[009] The objective of the present invention is to provide a refrigeration cassette that avoids the drawbacks of the prior art, providing a cassette of reduced dimensions.

[0010] This objective is achieved by means of a refrigeration cassette comprising: a cassette base; a hot side containing an evaporation tray insulator, an evaporation tray, a compressor, a condenser and a condenser fan; a cold side containing an evaporator and an evaporator fan, wherein the cold side additionally has a cold box, said box comprising a cover, a cold box base, an evaporator fan base and a closure component; wherein the cold box base, the fan base and the closure component form an airflow directing duct; and wherein the fan is fixed to a fixing body and is disposed spaced apart from the evaporator.

[0011] Furthermore, in the refrigeration cassette according to the present invention, the cold box base is fixed to the cassette base; the evaporator fan base and the closure component are fixed to the cold box base, and have an opening between them, and wherein the fixing body passes through said opening and is fixed to the cassette base.

[0012] Furthermore, in the refrigeration cassette according to the present invention, the fixing body consists of a ring and a plate; said ring bearing the fan, and said plate being fixed to the system base.

[0013] Additionally, in the refrigeration system according to the present invention, the cold box additionally comprises a defrosting chute supported on the cold box base.

[0014] Furthermore, in the refrigeration system according to the present invention, the cold box cover, the cold box base, the evaporator fan base and the duct closure component are made of thermal insulating material, and the evaporator fixing body is made of metallic material. [0015] An advantage of the present invention consists in the fact that the arrangement of the cold box base, evaporator fan base and closure component provide a duct that improves air flow and, therefore, allows a reduction in the dimensions of the cassette.

[0016] Another advantage of the present invention is the fact that the arrangement of the fan spaced apart from the evaporator provides a better direction of the air flow and, consequently, a reduction of the dimensions of the cassette.

Brief Description of Drawings

[0017] The objectives and advantages of the present invention will become clearer through the following detailed description of the non-limiting examples and drawings presented at the end of this document:

[0018] Figure 1 illustrates an exploded view of a preferred embodiment of the refrigeration cassette according to the present invention.

[0019] Figure 2 illustrates a perspective view according to the preferred embodiment of the refrigeration cassette according to the present invention.

[0020] Figure 3 illustrates a perspective view of the fixing body according to the preferred embodiment of the refrigeration cassette according to the present invention.

Detailed Description

[0021] According to Figure 1, the refrigeration system cassette comprises a hot side containing an evaporation tray insulator 10, an evaporation tray 20, a compressor 30, a condenser 40 and a condenser fan 50; a cold side containing an evaporator 60, an evaporator fan 70 and a cold box; and a cassette base 80.

[0022] As can be seen in Figure 1, the cold box is made of a cold box cover 90, a cold box base 100, an evaporator fan base 110 and a closure component 120, wherein the cold box base 100 is fixed to the support structure 80. The cold box cover 90 is fixed, for example, by snap-fitting to the cold box base 100, so as to close said cold box and thermally insulate the elements on the cold side from the hot side elements. The cold box base 100, the evaporator fan base 110 and the closure component 120 form an airflow directing duct within the cold box.

[0023] Still according to Figure 1, the evaporation tray insulator 10 is supported on the support structure 80 and is used to thermally insulate the evaporation tray 20, which contains defrost water of the evaporator 60, from the elements of the cold side of the system. In addition, the other components on the hot side are supported on the evaporation tray 20: compressor 30, condenser 40 and condenser fan 50.

[0024] Figure 1 also shows the cold box additionally containing a deicing chute 140, supported on the cold box base 100, to drain deicing water from the evaporator 60. The water from the deicing chute 140 flows through a duct that takes it to evaporation tray 20.

[0025] According to Figure 2, the evaporator fan base 110 and the closure component 120 are fixed, for example, by snap-fitting to the cold box base 100. Additionally, the base 110 and the component 120 have an opening 115 therebetween, wherein the fixing body 130 passes through this opening 115 and is fixed, for example, by screws, to the cassette base 80.

[0026] According to Figure 3, the fixing body 130 consists of a ring 131, where it is fixed by means of, for example, screws, the fan 70, and a plate 132 fixed to the cassette base 80. In this way, the fan 70 is spaced apart from the evaporator 60. In addition, the fixing body 130 is made of a strong material such as metal.

[0027] The cold box cover 90, the cold box base 100, the evaporator fan base 110, the duct closure component 120 and the evaporation tray insulator 10 are made of thermal insulating material, for example, Expanded Polystyrene "EPS", Polyurethane "PU" or any other material with thermal conductivity similar to that of these elements.

[0028] In addition to the preferred embodiment presented above, the same inventive concept can be applied to other alternatives or possibilities for using the invention.

[0029] Although the present invention has been described with respect to a certain preferred embodiment, it should be understood that it is not intended to limit the invention to that particular embodiment. Rather, it is intended to cover all possible alternatives, modifications and equivalences within the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
