Abstract:
Obtained is a refrigeration cycle apparatus capable of suppressing the degradation of metal components due to hydrogen iodide and securing reliability over a long period of time. The refrigeration cycle apparatus comprises: a compressor 1 that compresses a refrigerant; a condenser that condenses the refrigerant discharged from the compressor 1; a decompression device that decompresses the refrigerant discharged from the condenser; and an evaporator that evaporates the refrigerant decompressed by the decompression device, wherein the refrigerant contains trifluoroiodomethane, the compressor 1 has a compression mechanism unit 8 that compresses the refrigerant and a motor 4 that has a stator 41 and a rotor provided with a magnet 44 and drives the compression mechanism unit 8, and the magnet 44 is a neodymium magnet containing neodymium.
