Abstract:
This refrigeration cycle apparatus is provided with: a compressor; a condenser; a decompression device; an evaporator; and a blower fan. The evaporator includes a fin (30) and a heat transfer pipe (20). The fin (30) includes a first region (30a) into which the heat transfer pipe (20) is inserted, and a second region (30b) which projects from the heat transfer pipe (20) in a direction opposite to a blowing direction during a heating operation. An outdoor fan is configured to blow air from the second region (30b) toward the first region (30a) during the heating operation, and blow air from the first region (30a) toward the second region (30b) after execution of a defrosting operation, during the heating operation, for melting frost deposited on the evaporator.
