Abstract:
In the present invention, during normal operation, a switch is made to a coolant circuit in which heat of a high-pressure coolant that has flowed out from an indoor radiator (12) is made to be stored in a heat storage member (17), and, when frost has formed on an outdoor heat exchanger (16) that functions as an evaporator, a switch is made to a coolant circuit in which the outdoor heat exchanger (16) is heated and defrosted using the heat that has been stored in the heat storage member (17) as a heat source. VO2 (vanadium dioxide), which is a transition metal oxide with metal-insulator transition properties, is added with W (tungsten) as an additive and is employed as the heat storage member (17) so as to efficiently store or release the heat in accordance with the temperature zone of the coolant, thereby suppressing increases in energy consumption by a compressor.
