Abstract:

The present invention prevents a drop in performance and seizing of a compressor due to oil trapped inside an evaporator of a switchable showcase when a solenoid valve is provided on the refrigerant downstream side of the evaporator. A showcase (2A) is a switchable showcase able to be used so as to switch between a cooling mode for cooling inside a display space, a non-cooling mode where the display space is not cooled, and a heating mode for heating inside the display space using an electric heater (63). A control device (57) for the showcase (2A) controls the valve aperture of a low-stage expansion valve (34) and opens and closes the solenoid valve (37) in the cooling mode, and completely closes the opening of the low-stage expansion valve (34) and opens the solenoid valve (37) in the non-cooling mode and heating mode.
