Abstract:
A refrigeration device 1 comprises: a low-temperature refrigeration cycle 10 in which carbon dioxide is used as a low-temperature refrigerant and circulated to cool an object to be cooled in a low-temperature evaporator 14; a high-temperature refrigeration cycle 20 in which a high-temperature refrigerant is circulated; a cascade capacitor 5 that has a low-temperature condenser 5a and a high-temperature evaporator 5b, that performs heat exchange between the low-temperature refrigerant and the high-temperature refrigerant, and that is capable of storing liquefied low-temperature refrigerant; a pressure sensor 15a that measures a suction pressure of a low-temperature compressor 11 in the low-temperature refrigeration cycle 10; and a control device 30 that, in a case where cooling of the object to be cooled in the low-temperature refrigeration cycle 10 is no longer necessary, closes a solenoid valve 15 to recover and store the low-temperature refrigerant liquefied in the cascade capacitor 5 and, when the suction pressure measured by the pressure sensor 15a falls to or below a lower limit value, stops the low-temperature compressor 11.
