This refrigeration system comprises: a refrigerator for cooling a space to be cooled; and a refrigerator control device for controlling the refrigerator. The refrigerator comprises: a heat source machine having a compressor and a condenser; and a cooling machine having an evaporator and a blower that blows air to the evaporator. The refrigerator control device includes: a fluid temperature acquisition unit that acquires a fluid temperature which is the temperature of a fluid supplied to the condenser; a condensation temperature estimation unit that estimates a condensation temperature of the condenser; an operation characteristic retention unit that records and retains an operation characteristic which indicates the relationship between an operation state and a coefficient of performance of the refrigerator; a control unit that assumes the operation state of the refrigerator, and determines, using the recorded operation characteristic and on the basis of the assumed operation state and the estimated condensation temperature, the operation state at which the coefficient of performance reaches a maximum; and an operation state modification unit that modifies the operation state of the refrigerator so that the refrigerator operates in the determined operation state.
