Abstract:
The present invention provides a refrigerator and a control method therefor, the refrigerator being capable of efficiently storing foods for a long time by using a normally used refrigerator even in emergency situations such as a disaster and war. The refrigerator according to one embodiment comprises: a plurality of storage compartments including a refrigerator compartment and a freezer compartment; a cold air supply device including a compressor, a condenser, a blower fan and an evaporator; a plurality of temperature sensors provided to obtain the temperature of each of the plurality of storage compartments; a user interface provided to receive a user command; and a control unit for performing, in response to the user command, a first operating mode, which controls the operation of the cold air supply device on the basis of the temperature of the freezer compartment, and a second operating mode, which controls the operation of the cold air supply device on the basis of the temperature of the refrigerator compartment.
