Abstract:
A refrigerator comprises: a housing; a door comprising a hinge shaft and a hinge gear fixed to the hinge shaft, so as to be rotatably coupled to the housing; and a door opening and closing apparatus provided on one end of the door to control opening and closing of the door. The door opening and closing apparatus may comprise: a driving motor; a longitudinal gear which receives power from the driving motor and transmits same to the hinge shaft, the longitudinal gear disposed on one end part of the door opening and closing apparatus so as to be engaged with the hinge gear; and a door location sensor disposed on one side of the longitudinal gear so as to sense the rotation angle of the longitudinal gear.
