A refrigerator and a control method for an ultrasonic auxiliary processing apparatus thereof. The ultrasonic auxiliary processing apparatus comprises: a tray disposed at the inner part of a refrigerating chamber of the refrigerator, an ultrasonic transducer mounted at the bottom part of the tray, and an ultrasonic generator mounted at a back side of the refrigerator. The control method comprises: starting up an ultrasonic auxiliary processing apparatus; obtaining operating environmental parameters of a refrigerator; determining a start-up ratio threshold of the ultrasonic auxiliary processing apparatus according to the operating environmental parameters of the refrigerator; and controlling the ultrasonic auxiliary processing apparatus to operate periodically within the range of the start-up ratio threshold. The ultrasonic auxiliary processing apparatus can be prevented from damage caused by overheating, thereby ensuring the normal operations of the ultrasonic auxiliary processing apparatus in the refrigerator.
