Abstract:

The present invention relates to a refrigerator and a transparent panel assembly for a refrigerator. The transparent panel assembly for a refrigerator comprises: a front panel which is formed of a transparent glass material and forms at least a part of a front appearance of a refrigerator door; a rear panel which is formed of a transparent material and forms at least a part of a rear appearance of the refrigerator door; and an intermediate member which connects the front panel with the rear panel and is formed of a transparent plastic material by injection molding, wherein the intermediate member includes: a rim portion having both ends coupled to each other so as to form a space between the front panel and the rear panel and forming a circumferential outer appearance between the front panel and the rear panel; and a partition portion formed across an inner surface of the rim portion to form a hermetic heat insulating layer by partitioning the front panel and the rear panel.
