Abstract:
A refrigerating appliance can comprise a cabinet body, a door body, a door opener and a controller. The door opener may be attached to the cabinet body and comprises a shell, a push rod and a position sensor. The controller may be operably in communication with the door opener and is configured to guide the operation of the door opener. The operation of the door opener may comprise: guiding the push rod to a retracted position, detecting whether the door body is in a closed position after the push rod is guided to the retracted position, guiding the push rod forwards from the retracted position after the door body is detected to be in the closed position, monitoring a sensor output of a rod load sensor while the push rod is guided forwards, detecting contact with the door body while the sensor output is monitored, and stopping the push rod at a partially extended position in response to detecting the contact.
