Abstract:
Provided is a refrigerator wherein the energy for illumination can be saved while the level of visibility is maintained.
A refrigerator (101) is comprised of a refrigerating chamber (103) having a door (108), an illuminator (120) provided within the refrigerating chamber (103), an illuminance sensor (130) for detecting the illumination intensity of the illuminator (120), and an adjusting portion (210) which can adjust the amount of luminescence of the illuminator (120). The adjusting portion (210) adjusts the amount of luminescence so that the amount of luminescence decreases as the illumination intensity detected by the illuminance sensor (130) increases.
