This refrigerator is provided with: a heat insulation box; a compressor; an electric component; and an electric component protection device. The electric component protection device has a bracket, and a protective cover that covers the electric component and is fixed to the bracket. The bracket has a locking part that forms a locking hole and projects to the protective cover side. The protective cover has a lateral wall part that faces the bracket, a lower wall part that forms the bottom wall, an upper wall part that forms the ceiling wall, a front wall part that forms a lateral wall on the near side in the depth direction as seen from the back-surface side of the heat insulation box, a back wall part that forms a lateral wall on the backside, a locking claw that is formed at a position opposed to the locking hole on the inner wall surface of the lower wall part and that engages with the locking part, and a flat plate that is a hook part projected to a side opposed to the locking claw on the outer wall surface of the lower wall part and that is formed into a plate shape opposed to the lower wall part. The flat plate has a hook part that forms a gap opened continuously from the lateral wall part side toward the front wall part side between the plate and the lower wall part.
