Abstract:
Provided is a refrigerator having an improved opening/closing device with a simple structure which is configured to allow a storage box to be automatically pulled in and out according to the opening and closing of a door and to further push the storage box rearward in a state where the door is closed. The refrigerator comprises: a main body; a storage compartment provided with a front surface opening inside the main body and having a storage box movable backward and forward therein; a door rotatably coupled to the main body so as to open and close the storage compartment and having a pusher protruding toward the storage compartment on the rear surface thereof; and an opening/closing device provided at one side of the storage box so as to move the storage box backward and forward according to the opening and closing of the door, wherein the opening/closing device comprises: a rack gear moving backward and forward according to the opening and closing of the door; a locking member rotatably coupled to the rack gear so as to be locked to and released from the storage box, and movable forward and backward with the rack gear; and a catcher which rotates so as to be caught in and released from the pusher according to the opening and closing of the door, and rotates so as to be caught in the pusher when the door is closed, thereby pushing the rack gear to move rearward.
