Abstract:
Provided is a regenerative burner which allows a sufficient reduction in the emissions of nitrogen oxides. This regenerative burner is provided with: an air discharge unit A which is formed between an outer cylinder portion 1 and an inner cylinder portion 2 concentrically arranged, and discharges the combustion air heated by an accumulator 3; and a fuel discharge unit G which is disposed inside the inner cylinder portion 2, and discharges fuel gas along the air discharge direction in which the air discharge unit A discharges combustion gas. The air discharge unit A has a leading portion Af that protrudes further forward in the air discharge direction than the leading end Gf of the fuel discharge unit G. A fuel diffusive space S is formed and surrounded by the leading end Gf of the fuel discharge unit G and the inner surface of the leading portion Af of the air discharge unit A, which protrudes further forward in the air discharge direction than the fuel discharge unit G. The regenerative burner is provided with an air guide cylinder W, which guides the combustion air discharged from the leading end of the air discharge unit A radially inward and has a diameter which tapers towards the leading end.
