[0002] Background Art

[0003] Nowadays, humans live longer than in previous centuries, which is attributed to improvements in hygiene during the development of civilisation

[0004] Ensuring a hygiene among elderly and disabled is a major social problem.

[0005] People whose hygiene needs are fulfilled on daily basis do not feel alienated from public life, and their well-being is better overall. The healing process of the person affected by illness is faster depending on the condition, and the treatment itself is stable. Maintaining proper hygiene during patients’ disease help them feel accepted which leads to growth of their self-confidence. The patient does not feel as a burden to their family when they need to be taken care of, and hygiene slows the ageing process.

[0006] Especially in hospitals and health centres, the hygiene of patients with mobility limitations or disabilities is on a poor level, which results in infections, bedsores, inflammation and loss of immunity. Due to lack of medical equipment, the stuff is often forced to carry patients by their own hands, as well as making hygienic and rehabilitative activities which reduce the range of possibilities in actions. Hygiene treatments are usually reduced to washing particular parts of patients’ body.

[0007] In the state of the art, solutions are known for the provision of hygiene treatment devices or rehabilitation and nursing beds.

[0008] Hospitals are equipped with so-called mobile washing beds, where the washing is done by rinsing a patient with water from a shower head. Especially in i cases of patients after stroke, carrying them to such bed is problematic and conducting a procedure in comfortable conditions is straitened.

[0009] In an international patent application W02004062545A1 a multi-functional bed for patient was revealed, in which automatic, portable desk equipped with a sink and toilet seat and shower cabin is installed. The elements are mounted on a body of the bed heated by hot water, the water supply and drainage are automatic and the toilet seat automatically closes and locks. The advantage of the solution is the ability to defecate independently and without odor, and to use the bed shower, whereas the temperature of the bed can be freely adjusted by the patient.

[0010] In a Chinese patent application CN 111616896A a nursing bed with shower function was described, characterizing in comparison of a shower unit and a mattress unit together with a body of the bed, the lifting table frame and a lifting unit for driving the lifting table frame in order to lift them are being located on the bed’s body. Also, the shower unit includes a waterproof sheet with a zipper with a drainage hole in the center. The nursing bed, according to the invention, has a simple design, which can make it easier for nursing staff to carry out nursing work on patients who have been in a bed for a long time.

Additionally, the bed comprises a seat support, which may be connected end-jointed with rear end of the bed frame, intermediate wheels located in the lower part of the seat support, wherein the fixed board is attached horizontally to the seat-back. One end of the movable board is connected to the fixed board in rotary mode, while on the bed frame to a powertrain, which can drive the movable board to roll along the hinged position to allow the patient to sit up, and the mounting parts located on the seat bracket can be connected to the movable board to enable the movable board to be held in a tilted position. The benefit of this solution is that the bed can be disconnected to provide a wheelchair structure, so that the patient can be led to the toilet or bathroom to allow them to defecate or take a shower. [0012] Utility model CN214208721 U shows cardiovascular internal medicine with recovery bed. It has a rehabilitation bed frame in which a sliding groove is fitted. Moreover, there is installed sink, washing pipe, threaded socket, which is equipped with drip stand, and the rest of the frame facilitating good patient recovery with addition of comfortable infusion and cleaning.

[0013] Chinese patent application CN107374872A uncovers a kind of stool and urine system of intelligent rehabilitation bed. It consists of a button, screen, defecation manifold and devices for: passing things, mixing things, communication, video, storage, expansion port, main control platform, toilet displacement mechanism, spreading mechanism, pressure sensor, cushion displacement mechanism, flushing motor, drainage valve, heating device of protective cushion, automatic washing device and hot air-drying device. The advantage of this solution is the remote control that allows independent operation of all bed functions.

[0014] Utility model CN209884567U describes multifunctional treatment and rehabilitation bed, which can be used, for example, for lying, sitting, eating, washing hair, washing feet, defecation and even upper and lower body rehabilitation exercises. However, patent application CN109730848A manifest the recovery bed chair of multifunction nursing and rehabilitation. This bed consists of mechanism for seating and reclining, a mechanism for standing section and a toilet and stool mechanism. According to the invention above, such solution can help people with reduced mobility, in particular disabled elderly people, people with problems to roll over, urinate, take a bath, wash their hair and move their body, and can help patients to move smoothly from lying to sitting and from sitting to standing.

[0015] Neither of the above inventions provide device that can simultaneously combine rest, hygiene and rehabilitation functions

[0016] Main technical issue is proposing a rehabilitation and sanitation bed intended for daily rest, provision of basic hygiene care in home care conditions and specialist care, especially for elderly people, patients after strokes, paralyzed, patients after injuries, patients with diseases of the nervous system or musculoskeletal system, spastic patients, patients after surgical procedures, and people who require total or partial care from a second person.
