Abstract:
A reinforcing bar binding robot according to the present invention may comprise: a reinforcing bar binding unit that binds, with binding wires, intersecting parts at which a plurality of primary reinforcing bars and a plurality of secondary reinforcing bars intersect; a conveyance unit that conveys the reinforcing bar binding unit; a sensor that detects a feature of a binding wire which is tied at an intersecting part; and a control unit that controls driving of the reinforcing bar binding unit and driving of the conveyance unit. The conveyance unit may be provided with a vertical direction movement mechanism that is capable of moving the reinforcing bar binding robot in the front-rear direction in which the plurality of primary reinforcing bars extend, and a horizontal direction movement mechanism that is capable of moving the reinforcing bar binding robot in the left-right direction in which the plurality of secondary reinforcing bars extend. The control unit may control the driving of the reinforcing bar binding unit and/or the driving of the conveyance unit on the basis of the feature of the binding wire which has been detected by the sensor.
