Abstract:
In the prior art, there is a problem of not being able to relay video data from a transmission device having an HDMI connector to a receiving device having a USB Type-C connector. In order to solve the foregoing problem, in the present invention, a receiving device having an HDMI receiving functional unit, and a relay device such as a conversion cable for relaying video data from a transmission device are both provided with a function for mutually discriminating the other device, and on the basis of the determination results of the functional units, a termination element or a protection element is enabled/disabled, and signal connection switching is performed. In addition, a reverse insertion connection that reverses the video data transmission direction of the relay device can be realized.
