Abstract:
This remaining life estimation device is provided with a second calculation unit which calculates the remaining capacity, which is the capacity that a lithium ion secondary battery can be charged and discharged, on the basis of expression 1, in which the index n1 is 0.9-1.1, and expression 2, in which the index n2 is 0.4-0.6. The second calculation unit calculates the remaining capacity using expression 1 when the amount of change in the discharge voltage, the amount of change in the range of voltage increase, or amount of change in the rate of voltage increase is positive, and calculates the remaining capacity using expression 2 when the amount of change in the discharge voltage, the amount of change in the range of voltage increase, or amount of change in the rate of voltage increase is negative.
