Abstract:
A novel remedy or preventive for frequent urination or urinary incontinence which is reduced in side effect. The remedy or preventive for frequent urination or urinary incontinence contains as the active ingredient a specific 6-substituted morphinan derivative represented by the following general formula (I) or a pharmacologically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. (I) [In formula (I), R?1� represents hydrogen, etc.; R?2� and R?3� each independently represents hydrogen, etc.; A represents NR?4�- (wherein R?4� is hydrogen, etc.), -S-, or -O-; R?5� represents an optionally substituted organic group having a basic skeleton represented by any of the formulae (1): (1) (wherein R?10� is hydrogen, etc.); R?6� represents hydrogen and R?7� represents hydrogen, etc. or R?6� and R?7� in combination represent -O-, etc.; and R?8� represents hydrogen, etc.]. An example of the derivative is 17-(2-(2-thiophenyl)ethyl)-4,5a-epoxy-3,14�-dihydroxy-6�-(N-methylanilino)morphinan methanesulfonate.
