Abstract:
It is intended to eliminate the restricted indication in the cases with elevated intracranial pressure in the acute stage of cerebral attack to which nicardipine or its salt has been contraindicated. It is found out for the first time that, in cerebral infarct model rats, nicardipine or its salt would not affect the intracranial pressure, different from the common recognition, even in a group with elevated intracranial pressure in the acute stage of onset. Namely, a remedy for hypertension for patients with elevated intracranial pressure in the acute stage of cerebral attack which contains, as the active ingredient, nicardipine or its salt.
