Abstract:
A remedy or a preventive for diseases with a need for the enhanced production of nerve growth factor (NGF) for the treatment or prevention thereof, an NGF production enhancer and a food, a drink or a feed for enhancing NGF production each containing as the active ingredient a compound selected from the group consisting of soyasaponin compounds, soyasapogenin compounds, glycyrrhizin and salts thereof; and novel soyasaponin compounds and soyasapogenin compounds having an effect of enhancing NGF production.
