Abstract:
Provided are a rendering device and a rendering method capable of rendering an object on a target by calligraphy. A cutting device causes a cartridge and a target to move relative to each other and renders an object on the target using a pen fixed to the cartridge. A control unit of the cutting device receives at least one type of a plurality of objects and reads and acquires rendering data and angle data corresponding to the at least one type from a storage unit. The control unit displays fixed angle information corresponding to a fixed angle indicated by the acquired angle data on a display unit (S55). A user performs positioning of the pen with respect to the cartridge on the basis of the fixed angle information and installs the cartridge in an installation unit. The control unit renders the object of the received type on the target by calligraphy on the basis of the acquired rendering data (S61).
