Abstract:
The present application belongs to the technical field of electronic devices. Provided are a rendering optimization method, and an electronic device and a computer-readable storage medium. The method is applied to an electronic device. The method comprises: determining first polygon mesh data corresponding to an object model in a scene, wherein the first polygon mesh data is used for describing the object model; on the basis of the first polygon mesh data, creating a bounding box corresponding to the object model; determining a pixel range covered when the bounding box is projected to a screen of an electronic device, obtaining a relationship between the number of pixels covered by the bounding box and the number of pixels of the screen, and determining the distance between an observation angle of view and the object model in the scene; on the basis of the distance and the relationship, determining a levels of detail (LOD) grade corresponding to the object model, and updating the first polygon mesh data into second polygon mesh data on the basis of the LOD grade; and rendering the object model on the basis of the second polygon mesh data. By means of the method, the computational consumption of ray tracing can be effectively reduced, and the vivid image quality is generated.
