Abstract:

A replacement ink ribbon holding mechanism (10) for holding an ink ribbon (20), comprising a transparent shell (11) and a mount (12), wherein loose winding prevention parts (11a to 11d) controlling the rotations of a feed side bobbin (21) and a wind-up side bobbin (22) and meandering winding prevention parts (11e, 11f) for retaining the axial end parts (23a) of a film (23) are provided on the transparent shell (11) for the ink ribbon (20), whereby the ink ribbon (20) can be held stably by the holding mechanism (10) during the transportation and at the time of loading of the film and, because support parts (11g, 11h) are provided on the transparent shell (11), the stability of the film at the time of loading is improved.
