Title:
RESCUE SYSTEM OF A TRAIN OR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2000069702
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
Serious or fatal injuries resulting from vehicles crashing into accident vehicles, conventional accident notification, and time-consuming rescue work on accident vehicles as well as on accident trains were the reasons for conducting the accident research [1-13]. With the aid of these insights, a rescue system (55, 55a) was devised for minimizing the rescue time, the tractive force required, production costs and the dangers present at the scene of the accident. According to the invention, the doors (8, 8S-8Y) are jammed closed during an accident. The fixed connection of each door to the vehicle body (10) is released by; pulling at least one hinge bolt (6, 6a-6c, 6g-6j) out of the hole of the door hinge (5, 5a-5c, 5g-5j) and/or by; breaking at least one hinge joint (5.1a-5.1f). The law of friction and cable friction [14] underlies the ability to minimize the tractive forces of all cables (2) of a device (15, 15a-15j) used for unlatching all doors. As a result, all occupants can quickly rescue themselves from the accident vehicle or accident train. A visual, acoustic and/or vocal warning system (70, 70a-70c) immediately transmits accident, hijacking, warning and/or traffic congestion notifications to the authorities who monitor occurrences of accidents and/or to the drivers located in the area.
