Abstract:

The present invention relates to a residential ice maker. Since the residential ice maker can generate sufficient oscillations in ice-forming water by oscillatory rotation of a rocking plate without rocking the entire ice-forming tray, the residential ice maker can easily produce clear ice without increasing the size of the ice-forming tray. Since the rocking plate and the ice-forming tray are co-axially formed such that when a rotation is made for ice release, the rotation can be made about a central axis of the ice-forming tray, and therefore, the residential ice maker requires no additional space for ice release and thus can have a compact configuration.
