Abstract:
A residue reduction method for shortening a half-life and/or a complete degradation time of a pesticide residue. The method comprises applying, at least once during a full growth period of a crop or before seeding, and in a conventional manner, an applicable form of a mixture consisting of a regular amount of 45%-100% of a pesticide formulation and a synergistic auxiliary agent. The pesticide formulation/synergistic auxiliary agent ratio in the mixture is 15-45000 g or ml/60-6000 ml per hectare. The synergistic auxiliary agent is a mixture consisting of a Tween surfactant and an N‑R‑2‑pyrrolidone. The amount of pesticide needed can be determined on the basis of pest incidence and the invention can decrease pesticide use by up to 55% and shorten a half-life and/or a complete degradation time of a pesticide residue by more than 50% while maintaining efficacy. Pesticide application before a pre-harvest interval allows produce to have no detectable pesticide residues, effectively ensuring safe quality produce and environmental and ecological protection.
