Abstract:
Provided is a resin emulsion which is useful for back sealers for ceramic substrates or the like. According to the present invention, a resin emulsion which contains a monomer component (a) as a polymerization component is configured such that: the ratio of an acid group-containing monomer (a1) in the monomer component (a) is 4.5% by mass or less; and a hydrophilic monomer (a2) is contained in the monomer component (a). With respect to this resin, the ratio of the acid group-containing monomer (a1) in the monomer component (a) may be 3.5% by mass or less; and the ratio of the hydrophilic monomer (a2) in the monomer component (a) may be 1.2% by mass or more.
