Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a resin-coated metal plate for containers in which the resin film has excellent basic properties required of a material for food canning, such as adhesion properties and coating properties, and which has excellent processability after heat treatment. Provided is a resin-coated metal plate for containers in which the surfaces of a metal plate are coated with a stretched film made of a polyester resin, wherein: the polyester resin contains an ethylene terephthalate unit in an amount of not less than 92 mol%; the full width at half maximum for a C=O peak at 1725 cm-1 ±5 cm-1 is 20 cm-1 to 25 cm-1 as observed in Raman spectroscopy in the direction of stretch of the surfaces of the film after coating the metal plate; and the ratio (I1725/I1615) of C=O peak intensity at 1725 cm-1 ±5 cm-1 to C=C peak intensity at 1615 cm-1 ±5 cm-1 is 0.50-0.70 as observed in the Raman spectroscopy.
