Abstract:
This resin composition for a display substrate contains the below-mentioned resin (a), solvent (b) and solvent (c). Resin (a): a resin which has as the main component a repeating unit represented in chemical formula (1), and which, defining the total of A and B contained in said resin as 100 mass%, contains a total of at least 95 mass% of tetracarboxylic acid residues having an SP value of 15-17 and diamine residues having an SP value of 11-13. Solvent (b): A solvent having an SP value of greater than or equal to 7.5 and less than 9.5. Solvent (c): A solvent having an SP value of 9.5-14.0. (In chemical formula (1), A represents a tetravalent tetracarboxylic acid residue with 2 or more carbons, and B represents a divalent diamine residue with 2 or more carbons. R1and R2 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon with 1-10 carbons, an alkylsilyl group with 1-10 carbons, an alkali metal ion, an ammonium ion, an imidazolium ion or a pyridinium ion.)
