Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an optical element that, while exhibiting excellent visible light transmittance, near-infrared shielding properties, and ultraviolet shielding properties, also maintains exceptional near-infrared shielding properties even when exposed to light for an extended period of time; a molded body capable of constituting the optical element; and a resin composition capable of forming the molded body. The resin composition according to the present invention contains a cyclic olefin polymer, a squarylium compound having a prescribed structure, and an ultraviolet absorber. The squarylium compound content is less than the ultraviolet absorber content, and the total of the squarylium compound content and the ultraviolet absorber content is 0.1 part by mass or less per 100 parts by mass of the cyclic olefin polymer.
