Abstract:
Coated electric wires obtained through extrusion molding of an inexpensive linear polyethylene resin (LLDPE) have an appearance problem in that the coated electric wires have a rugged surface due to the poor processability of the LLDPE. The present invention solves this problem with a resin composition comprising 50-97 parts by weight of an LLDPE and 3-50 parts by weight of a polypropylene (PP) resin. Thus, it has become possible to produce, at a high speed and low cost, a coated electric wire having excellent surface smoothness.
