Abstract:
Disclosed are a resonator and an oscillator using the same, capable of broadly and finely correcting the resonant frequency of the vibrating element. The resonator comprises a vibrating element (101), electrodes (4, 5) arranged with a clearance from parts of a surface of the vibrating element (101), and variable voltage sources (24, 25) which supply voltage to the vibrating element (101) and/or the electrodes (4, 5). There are multiple electrodes (4, 5). The electrodes (4, 5) are contiguous, with clearance, to a plurality of areas of the vibrating element (101) where the vibration amplitude is different. With respect to the electrodes (4, 5) that have a different distance from the axis of the vibrating element among the plurality of electrodes contiguous to the vibrating element (101), the supplied DC voltage is adjusted separately.
