According to the present invention, stress generated in a resonator as a result of an impact is alleviated.　This resonating device comprises a resonator 10 including a base portion 130, a plurality of vibrating arms 121A to 121D respectively including fixed end-side arm portions 123A to 123D connected to the base portion and weight portions 122A to 122D formed on an open end-side thereof, the plurality of vibrating arms 121A to 121D extending parallel to one another and vibrating in an out-of-plane bending vibration mode as the principal vibration, and a holding portion 140 which is disposed in at least a portion of the perimeter of the plurality of vibrating arms 121A to 121D and which is configured to support the base portion 130, a lower lid, an upper lid that forms a vibration space for the resonator 10 between the lower lid and the upper lid, and a projecting portion 50 which projects from an inner surface of either the lower lid or the upper lid into the vibration space, wherein the holding portion 140 has protrusions 146a, 146b formed in positions facing the weight portions 122A to 122D of at least one of the plurality of vibrating arms 121A to 121D, as seen in a plan view.
