Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, while registered with a non-standalone network, that a count of random access failures for a cell satisfies a failure count threshold, based at least in part on adding a secondary cell group. The UE may perform a detach and attach procedure or a tracking area update procedure with the cell based at least in part, on the determining that the count of random access failures satisfies the failure count threshold.
